The Maine Lottery is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen tickets. Keep tickets in a safe place. Signing your ticket helps prove you own it in case you lose it.

You have 365 days from the date of the draw to claim your lottery winnings.
Can I buy lottery tickets in advance?

No. The Maine Lottery makes your name, prize, and area of residence public, but your phone number and address won’t be released. However, you can use a trust to claim the prize, in which case the trust’s information will be made public instead.

No. You must visit an authorized lottery retailer in the state to purchase your lottery tickets.
Where do Maine Lottery funds go?
After covering prizes and other expenses, the Maine Lottery’s proceeds from ticket sales go toward various initiatives in the state, including funding schools, health programs, or wildlife conservation.
